Larry Clark’s vision for Sugarbakers, cake, candy, and wedding supplies LLC came to life on Valentine’s Day, 1989. 

Larry was a caterer in Knoxville for many years and he found himself spehttps://websites.godaddy.com/about-usnding a tremendous amount of time driving to neighboring states to obtain the most current specialty items for his events. No distance was too far for just the right item! 

As the catering business expanded, Larry couldn’t dedicate the same amount of time driving to obtain supplies and, thus, Sugarbakers Cake, Candy, and Wedding supplies LLC was born. Sugarbakers quickly outgrew their first location and moved to the current store location at 514 Merchants Drive in Knoxville TN.

Larry firmly believed it was the community that contributed to his success, and it was Larry’s desire to give back to the community that supported him so. Larry participated in numerous Knoxville events that benefited East Tennessee charities and the cake decorating community (events such as Chocolatefest 2018, The Sweeter Side of Oz in 2019 and the Tennessee Valley Fair). 

Sadly, Larry died on July 13, 2020. Many in the baking community feared this would also mean the end of Sugarbakers but that is not the case! Larry’s partner, in life and love, Steven, continues the Sugarbakers legacy and is committed to being the top provider for all of Knoxville’s baking needs. 

Once again, the support from the decorating community has been overwhelming.  Sugarbakers continues to provide the same customer-centered service and Sugarbaker’s commitment to excellence is unparalleled. 

While some of the faces at Sugarbakers may have changed, the same personalized customer service and family-friendly feel is still evident the moment you walk through the door.
